Tragedy of the Opera

As part of our project for Media Theory  we looked at the disappearance and change in the meaning of opera and, in the process, made a photo series that reflects this process in the form of a tragedy. 

This photo series was inspired by the drama Hamlet from William Shakespeare. For this we have chosen the Graz Opera House as a location and even had the opportunity to take photos on the staircase. Unfortunately, it is nowadays hardly common to dress for the opera in evening dress. In the past, the opera was something that was reserved only for the well-heeled society. Nowadays it is rarely interesting for the younger generation to go to the opera.
